Quails' Gate Estate Winery Merlot

Our 2005 Merlot grapes were very ripe when harvested late in October from vineyards in Osoyoos as well as from the Quails’ Gate Estate vineyard. Hand picked and then fermented with indigenous yeasts for 28 days, this vintage shows good extraction of velvety tannins. The Limited Release Merlot has been barrel aged for 18 months in French and American oak barrels and will continue to improve with age for up to 5 years
